cathy reports: “I just wanted to let you know that i was a la weight loss employee for 10 years in cookeville tn. our owners turned us over to lato and they did not tell us for 2 weeks what would be happening and was very short with there answers. As it turned out they lowered managers pay and i was one and my councelor decided not to except there offer.”
LATO is “LA Take Over,” which is when the the LA Weight Loss corporation takes over the operation (and ownership, I assume) of previously franchised locations. This seems, in many cases, to be an interim step prior to limiting operating hours and days and, eventually, closing the centers.
cathy writes: “I found out this evening from a employed friend that they are closing the nashville market in october . I feel extremely bad for all employees and the clients and how it all gets done and that is the main reason i could not stick it out. I loved my job and all the clients that i helped and the friends i made a long my journey with la weight loss. I pray for the best to all that is still with them and to all the clients .I very much believe that they had a great program but the way they have chose to do business was wrong and when you dont handle things the correct way it bites you know where… love to all”
